Schedule Mastodon posts and threads, if you are on mastodon.social

Queue a post or a chained thread with alt text on every image. One honest caveat up front: Groniz currently connects mastodon.social accounts only — if your account lives on another instance, this is not ready for you yet.

On Mastodon, specifically

The bits Mastodon makes hard, handled

mastodon.social today, not every instance

We would rather lead with this than waste your time: the Mastodon connection points at mastodon.social. An account on your own instance, or on any other server, cannot be connected yet. Everything below assumes you are on mastodon.social.

Threads chained in order

Write the opener and its continuations as one item and Groniz replies each part to the one before it, so the thread reads properly on the timeline.

Alt text that gets published

The alt text you write is sent with the image, as Mastodon expects and its community actually asks for. Most channels drop it silently; here it arrives.

Agent-driven

Mastodon is just a target for your agent

Install the Groniz skill and your agent — Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT, any MCP client — learns to drive Mastodon for you. You keep the judgement; it keeps the keys out of your scripts.

You Queue this thread with alt text on the image.

groniz posts:create \
  -c "Some thoughts, threaded" \
  -c "And the follow-up" \
  -m "chart.png" \
  -s "2026-07-18T09:00:00Z" -i "mastodon-id"

Continuations chain in order and the image's alt text is published - the accessibility norm Mastodon's community expects.

Mastodon questions

Scheduling Mastodon, answered

Can I connect my own Mastodon instance?+
Not yet. Groniz connects to mastodon.social, so accounts on other instances — including self-hosted ones — cannot be scheduled today. Support for arbitrary instances is a product gap we know about, not something you are configuring wrong.
Can I schedule a Mastodon thread?+
Yes. The opener and its continuations go out as one scheduled item, each replying to the previous one, so it lands as a thread.
Can I set a post to followers-only or add a content warning?+
No. Posts publish public, and content warnings are not something you can set from Groniz today. If a post needs a CW or limited visibility, post it from Mastodon itself.
Does Groniz show Mastodon analytics?+
No — Mastodon is a publish-and-schedule channel here, with no metrics surfaced. Mastodon itself is deliberately light on analytics, and we do not invent numbers to fill the gap.
