On Discord, specifically

The bits Discord makes hard, handled

The channel is a choice, not a setting you forget

Pick the destination channel on each scheduled post, from the list of channels the bot can actually reach. No posting your release note into the wrong place at midnight.

Mentions that resolve

Mention a role, a member, @here or @everyone in a scheduled announcement and Groniz resolves it to a real mention when it sends — the ping fires, rather than posting the literal text.

Attachments come along

Images and files ride with the announcement, so the changelog screenshot is in the same message as the changelog.

Agent-driven

Discord is just a target for your agent

Install the Groniz skill and your agent — Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT, any MCP client — learns to drive Discord for you. You keep the judgement; it keeps the keys out of your scripts.

You Announce the release in #announcements at 9am.

groniz posts:create \
-c "**v2.0 is out** - changelog in the thread" \
  --settings '{"channel":"channel-id"}' \
  -s "2026-07-18T09:00:00Z" -i "discord-id"

Discord schedules Events, not messages - so this queue is the message scheduling it lacks; you pick the exact channel it posts to.

Discord questions

Scheduling Discord, answered

How do I connect Discord?+
You authorize the Groniz bot into a server you administer, and it needs permission to send messages in the channels you want to post to. Once it is in, every channel it can reach shows up when you schedule.
Why 1,980 characters and not 2,000?+
Discord’s hard limit is 2,000. Groniz stops you slightly short so that a message never fails at send time over a handful of characters.
Which channels can I post to?+
Text, announcement and forum channels that the bot has access to. If a channel is missing from the list, the bot has not been given permission to see or post in it.
Does Groniz show Discord analytics?+
No. Discord has no post-level metrics to read — there are no impressions or engagement counts behind a message — so there is nothing for us to show you.
